The Wisdom of Husbands

Okay, I had to share this. My husband came home from baling hay all day and asked me what I'd been doing. I told him I'd been hammering a 2-page synopsis into one page. He said, "Well, that ought to be easy. Just print out one page and tell them there is more upon request." Oh, if only it could be so easy. Thanks, honey. You always know how to put things in perspective.

Yeah, Linda. We boys have a way of doing that.:)

Great! Sounds like a remark my husband would make. "More on request..." That's perfect.

This made me actually laugh out loud! Guys are simple, bless their hearts, and we do love them, BUT, I'd probably rather help him bale than shrink a two page synopsis down to one little page!

Big smile here. My older sister's husband thought you just had to write the book, send it in and "they" would publish it. Even he could do that! He couldn't understand writing involves much more blood sweat and tears than that. But then he can put together a car with a nail file and duct tape. Who can understand that?

He was kidding. Right? Hope you have a wonderful trip to France.

Thanks for coming on to comment. And, yes, Eunice, he was kidding. But I still wish this whole writing and marketing process could be so simple. At least a little less anal.

I'd much rather submit to your husband with his philosophy than those in the publishing business right now. It seems to get more and more difficult.

Love to write. The submitting part - not so much.

Thanks for the chuckle, Linda. I needed that.
